Even better, they had passed Krisztina on the road about five kilometres away, as she was walking from Santiago. She arrived 30 minutes later and we had a joyful reunion. Later, along with Markus, we walked down to the beach where Krisztina went for a swim in the cold Atlantic; the rest of us, being older and wiser, dipped just our feet in the water.

In the evening we walked the last three kilometres to the lighthouse at Cabo Finisterre where we watched the sun sink into the ocean, hopefully to return the next day. Then, as per tradition, we burned our old and sweaty clothes and walked back to Finisterre for a delightful dinner.
